FAO bioeconomy report looks at risks on the road to sustainability : Biofuels Digest


In Italy, the Food and Agriculture Organization has released a new study looking at the sustainability of the bioeconomy, which is says it not intrinsically inherent, by looking at lessons learned from 26 case studies to understand how to ensure the bioeconomy of the future is developed in the best way possible considering that there is no blueprint to develop it. The study looks at six major issues related to the risks and opportunities of the bioeconomy: food security, natural resources management, climate change, responsible consumption and production, economic growth, and good governance.
