EU pushes back against Indonesia’s threats to increase dairy duties in retaliation over biodiesel anti-dumping duties : Biofuels Digest


In Indonesia, Reuters reports that the European Union’s head of trade for Indonesia has pushed back at the Asian country’s threats to increase duties against European dairy products in an attempted quid-pro-quo for the European Union’s anti-dumping duties added to Indonesian biodiesel imports last month. The EU official said the World Trade Organization absolutely prohibits retaliation and says that a group of Indonesian importers said increased duties on European dairy products will damage the Indonesian economy.
